LOUANN PETZOLD -- VICE PRESIDENT
My name is Lou Ann Isaacs Petzold, and I am the mama of Nikolas (13), Hannes (11) and Liana (8) Petzold. My husband, Franz, and I moved to The Woodlands area with our family about three years ago. Before relocating to Texas, we lived in Louisville, KY, where our boys began their swim careers in the neighborhood pool on the summer swim team when they were 7 and 5 years old. They loved it so much we began year-round swimming with Cardinal Aquatics. We are now entering our 6 th swim season.

I am a CPA currenting working as the controller / chief accounting officer of a mid-sized real estate investment company. Previously, I was a public company auditor at one of the Big Four accounting firms. I have lots of experience with budgets and board meeting minutes. On many weekends, I am an official at whatever swim meet my kids are signed up to swim! It is a lot of (unpaid) work, but it is necessary so that our kids can have the opportunity to compete in sanctioned USA Swimming meets. I genuinely enjoy contributing to the efforts by so many other volunteers to see that we run smooth and efficient meets.

GINGER CALLAHAN -- TREASURER
As a parent I started this swimming endeavor as a deer in head lights many years ago when my daughter started taking lessons when she was two years old and here we are 14 years later still at it.
In life on dry land, I am a professional as well as an active board member for our large neighborhood swim team.  On our summer team, I run swim meets, work with the coaches, other board members, and communicate with parents to make sure that every season is a success.  I have learned a lot not only about swimming as a sport but also what I want from a club which is the reason I am running for the board here at MAC.

We are all a critical part of the success of the club and our swimmers.  I believe in order for MAC to reach its maximum potential we need strong leadership, clear short- and long-term goals for the club, and communication with the membership of the club.  I want to be part of that strong leadership team to help guide the club.

A team is a reflection of its leadership.  The board is critical component of MAC’s leadership.  The board is here to help support the coaches, monitor and strengthen programs and services as well as determine which programs are consistent with the organization’s mission and monitor their effectiveness and communicate that to you the parent.  With my professional experience as well as prior board experience I would successfully provide the strong leadership needed to move forward and contribute to making MAC the premier swim club of the area.

Recently there have been a lot of changes at MAC.  With new leadership comes change, I believe that this is a time for us to reevaluate what our club’s short- and long-term goals.  I want to help define S.M.A.R.T. goals for our club: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely.  I believe that with strong leadership we can achieve any goal we set forth to achieve.

I have experienced many different areas of this sport. Along the way, I have made many great relationships with parents, coaches, and other swimmers. I hope to become a member of the MAC board using my expertise from my professional life and my experiences as a swim parent to be a voice for you to better the club so that we can all experience success together.

JULIE COLE -- SECRETARY
Julie has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from SUNY Oneonta and a Master’s of Business Administration from Marist College.

MICHELLE HIBNER -- AT-LARGE MEMBER
I’ve been working for Magnolia ISD for 21 years with 16 of those years working as the Payroll Supervisor.

How did we start with MAC?  A friend of mine suggested that we bring our granddaughter, Melony, to MAC so we did.  She’s gone from having to be put in the water to not wanting to get out of the water!!  Not only are the swimmers learning all about swim but also learning how to overcome obstacles.

Truly enjoy the MAC family and look forward to what the future holds for our swimmers!
